Streaming service Netflix is pressuring Prince Harry’s wife, actress Meghan Markle, to improve her public image after waves of negativity fell on her projects.

Megan has already agreed to a number of guest appearances in new projects to build her profile and rebuild trust with audiences. She recently landed a cameo in the Netflix and MGM romantic comedy Close Personal Friends, alongside Lily Collins and Brie Larson.

WME, the agency responsible for her career, confirms that this is only the first stage of a major rebranding. The Duchess is considering dozens of invitations, from talk shows to media partnerships that could promote As Ever. Some roles have already been rejected: Markle’s team wants to position her primarily as an influencer and entrepreneur, not a returning actress.

At the same time, Netflix is developing its Netflix House entertainment network, which plans to feature Markle’s cooking show. According to her contract, she and Prince Harry are required to personally participate in its activities.

Despite the controversial ratings of previous projects, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos publicly supported the duchess, saying her influence “still goes unappreciated.”

However, amid these developments, media rumors are circulating about another strategic move by Meghan Markle – a possible switch to Amazon after a series of setbacks and criticism. Hollywood insiders claim the Duchess is “professionally chasing” Jeff Bezos, as his company is willing to fund new projects without strings attached. Disney also confirms these rumors.

WME says the Duchess “has clear control over her own career” and is consciously building a strategy with two media giants at once – Netflix and Amazon.

As a reminder, it was previously announced that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has decided to resume her acting career after her wedding to Prince Harry. She appeared for the first time in several years on the set of Amazon’s new film, “Close Personal Friends.”
