Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the introduction of additional sanctions against individuals and structures that contribute to Russian military production and the spread of Kremlin propaganda.
The head of state announced this on his Telegram channel.
“I signed new decrees on sanctions against Ukraine against those who work for Russian military production and propaganda. And we will continue to block every scheme to circumvent sanctions,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President did not disclose the names and addresses of the companies that fell under restrictions, but emphasized that work to increase sanctions pressure is ongoing.
During a briefing on October 31, Zelensky also announced that Ukraine was preparing to synchronize its own sanctions with the 19th package of restrictions of the European Union.
“Next month we will complete the synchronization of sanctions packages with partners, fulfill all our plans and obligations,” he said.
According to the president, to strengthen the effect of sanctions, Ukraine is actively working with allies from the G7, the EU, Switzerland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and the United States.
After a meeting with the heads of the SBU, the Foreign Intelligence Service, and the Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, Zelensky emphasized:
“The cumulative effect of sanctions has the greatest impact. Therefore, it is important that allied countries adopt into their jurisdiction those solutions that are already working among their neighbors.”
Ukraine continues to coordinate efforts with international partners to deprive Russia of the financial and technological capabilities to wage war.
We will remind you that during the European Council meeting in Brussels on October 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a number of important statements regarding the war, international support, and European integration.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine will not make any concessions to Russia and will continue to strengthen cooperation with international partners in the fields of defense and energy.
