New Head of the BEB: My Goal Is for Honest Business in Ukraine to Feel Comfortable

The Bureau of Economic Security should become a kind of service for honest business in Ukraine – the head of the BES, Alexander Tsivinsky, said this in an exclusive interview with “Pryamoy”.

“I think that after a certain period of time – of course, this will not happen instantly, it will not happen tomorrow – but society will see a different approach to work and the principles that we will use. I am convinced that the Bureau of Economic Security for honest business will become a kind of service that will help to convey the problems and challenges that it will have, as well as some. so that business can work honestly, pay taxes. And those who work anti-competitively, feel uncomfortable.

To this end, according to the Chairman of the BEB, a personnel re-certification and changes in the staffing structure will be carried out.

“What are we doing now? First, we are auditing all processes. We are beginning to audit criminal proceedings. And understanding everything that is happening in the Bureau. This is a fairly large body, with many divisions. Next, the key point is working on renewing the team. We have begun preparing to create commissions – personnel, certification, and a disciplinary commission,”

“A reform will be carried out, this will be a recertification of personnel. This will be a change in the organizational and staffing structure in order to ensure maximum efficiency of the body, this will be work with the corporate culture. And, of course, a change in certain approaches. That is, we will follow. the way so that this activity is as clear as possible and fully complies with current legislation. So that there are no complaints.

He also spoke about the results of the polygraph test he took before being appointed to the position.

“The questions were about the father’s citizenship, as well as any enemy influences. The questions are specific, which the polygraph examiner asks, but the topic was this. I passed the polygraph. There are no questions. Accordingly, any suspicions have been refuted. I hope that this is where the end is put,” said the Head of the BEB.

Earlier , Alexander Tsivinsky, who won the competition for the position of head of the Bureau of Economic Security, confirmed that he successfully passed the polygraph test .

Let us recall that the European Commission publicly defended the results of the competition for the post of head of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BES), which were cancelled by the government . Brussels insists that Kiev is obliged to observe a transparent appointment procedure, since this is part of the obligations to the EU on the way to membership.

By the way, Petro Poroshenko demanded that the government appoint Oleksandr Tsyvinsky, who won the competition in accordance with current legislation, as the chairman of the BEB .

Let us recall that earlier, people’s deputies from the European Solidarity and Voice factions registered a draft Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada demanding that the Government immediately implement the provisions of the law and appoint the head of the BEB, determined through a transparent and fair competition .
