Bitcoin has set another record for value, the coin reaching $122,000 for the first time in history.

This was reported in Business Insider.

On the morning of July 14, the Bitcoin price rose by almost 3% to $120,990.05. As of 10:00 a.m., the coin had crossed the $122,000 mark.

Bitcoin’s price hit record highs for three days last week, up nearly 30% year-to-date.

Bitcoin’s surge has been fueled by the support of President Donald Trump’s administration, which signed an executive order in May to create a strategic reserve of bitcoin and digital asset holdings.

“Bitcoin’s recent surge appears to be the result of structural growth driven by institutional flows, supported by favorable macroeconomic conditions and amplified by a change in regulatory sentiment,” Pepperstone research strategist Dilin Wu wrote on Friday.

She also named institutional and corporate investors as key participants in the growth of the cryptocurrency’s value.

It is worth recalling that on July 11, the price of the main cryptocurrency reached $116,046, setting a new historical high .

As reported, in March, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to create a strategic cryptocurrency reserve. However, the market reacted quite unexpectedly – with a fall.
