This is the fourth wave of No Kings demonstrations since Donald Trump returned to the White House, this time less than 3 weeks before the US midterm elections.
Unlike previous protests, the focus was largely on voter engagement rather than criticism of the president. Organizers said they were trying to help citizens plan for early voting and explain how to participate in the election.
In the United States, early voting allows voters to cast their ballots several weeks before the official election day. Such a vote has the same weight as one cast on November 3rd.
Polls show Democrats are likely to regain control of the House of Representatives, while the results of the Senate elections remain uncertain. Republicans face an uphill battle to retain their positions in Congress.
The political standoff also concerns voting by mail. Trump criticizes the practice and has sought to limit it, while Democrats are increasingly using it. The president himself regularly votes by mail, saying his position is an exception to his own criticism.
Trump’s opponents fear possible interference by his administration in the vote count, especially if Republicans lose their majority in Congress.
The No Kings movement has been going on since 2025. Large-scale demonstrations against Trump then took place in all 50 US states.
Recall that in March , the United States witnessed massive No Kings protests against President Donald Trump’s policies in dozens of cities across the country. According to organizers, more than 8,000,000 people took part in the rallies.
It was previously reported that the third round of large-scale “No to Kings” protests took place in the United States , directed against the policies of Donald Trump.
