New power outages in eight regions: Ukrenergo reported on the consequences of Russian attacks

New power outages have been recorded in eight regions of Ukraine due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

This was reported by the press service of NPC Ukrenergo.

The company noted that as a result of Russian attacks on civilian energy infrastructure facilities, new power outages were recorded in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Odessa, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

“Where the security situation allows, emergency restoration work is already underway. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore power supply to all outage consumers as soon as possible,” Ukrenergo reported.

At the same time, the company noted a decrease in electricity consumption. As of 09:30 on July 22, it was 8.5% lower than at the same time the day before. The reason was the decrease in air temperature to comfortable levels, which reduced the need to use air conditioners.

Also, on July 21, the daily maximum electricity consumption was 1.5% lower than the day before, which is due to the decline in heat in most regions of the country.

Ukrenergo urged Ukrainians to use energy-intensive electrical appliances during the most efficient operation of solar power plants – from 11:00 to 15:00, and also to consume electricity rationally.
