New program of the Poroshenko Foundation: Blyskavka kamikaze drones are sent to the front

The fifth president and current People’s Deputy Petro Poroshenko is handing over a new product to the troops — Ukrainian-made Blyskavka kamikaze drones.

“The military asked for it, we did it. These are new Ukrainian strike UAVs that will hit the enemy where he is not expecting us. Blyskavka drones cover a distance of up to 60-70 km and are capable of flying around electronic warfare and destroying the enemy by surprise. 100 such aircraft have already been manufactured by our order. This is a new program of the Poroshenko Foundation, which we launched to stop the advance of enemy troops and save Ukraine,” the fifth President wrote on social networks.

The drone can reach a cruising speed of up to 110 kilometers per hour and stay in the air for up to 60 minutes. The maximum payload for the “Lightning” is 8 kilograms. The aircraft can carry various types of ammunition to hit targets in the enemy’s rear: field positions, buildings with personnel and equipment, etc. It takes up to 10 minutes for the crew to deploy and prepare for launch, and 5 minutes are enough to leave the takeoff position.

A large batch of drone detectors is also being transferred to the military.

“Today, the list of units that our team helps exceeds two hundred. In particular, boys and girls ask for “Aspirin 2.0”, which notifies about the approach of enemy drones. For a military man, this is not just a technique, but a chance to return home alive. We want each unit to have the opportunity to detect a threat in time and prepare to repel an attack. Therefore, we planned to increase the production of drone detectors to 1,000 per month. This is our chance to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” Poroshenko noted.

“While the government is pulling money from the army: it adopts the budget of the Ministry of Defense, which increases funding for the Office, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Prosecutor General’s Office, the money goes to the marathon and “strategic communications” (Telegram channels), and not to increase salaries or personal income tax for brigades, we continue to help the Armed Forces and do our job,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
