American pastor Mark Burns, who is considered a spiritual advisor to US President Donald Trump, is convinced that the bill with new sanctions against Russia will be passed.
He said this in an interview with Ukrinform .
Burns expressed confidence in growing support for the document from both houses of the US Congress, especially among Republicans.
“I want to encourage the Ukrainian people. I am very happy and confident that we will pass this law. Share this with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine,” Burns said.
This is a bill that not only strengthens existing sanctions, but also introduces so-called secondary sanctions — that is, punishments for countries and companies that help Russia circumvent restrictions.
Burns, who has close ties to the Republican wing of Congress, emphasized that the main goal of the new law is to put the Russian Federation in a dead end so that it stops the war against Ukraine and is forced to sit at the negotiating table.
“Russia’s economy is already suffering, and new sanctions will significantly increase this pressure,” the adviser emphasized.
Recall that Pastor Mark Burns, spiritual advisor to US President Donald Trump, condemned the attacks by Russian troops on Kyiv , emphasizing that these strikes are war crimes.
Earlier, Mark Burns, spiritual advisor to US President Donald Trump, said that he played a role in strengthening relations between Ukraine and the United States.
By the way, after his visit to Ukraine, Mark Burns admitted that he was wrong when he supported the decision to stop military aid. The day before,Burns visited Bucha, Irpin, and Borodyanka to see the consequences of the occupation army’s crimes against the civilian population and personally hear the memories of witnesses.
