New temperature records were recorded in six Ukrainian cities.

On July 1, a wave of abnormal heat continued in Ukraine. Meteorologists recorded new temperature records in six regional centers.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported this.

New historical highs for this date were recorded in Simferopol (+35.9°C), Lutsk (+35.3°C), Uzhhorod (+35.2°C), Lviv (+35.1°C), Rivne (+34.0°C), and Ternopil (+33.6°C). The temperature exceeded previous record highs by between 0.1°C and 2.9°C.

The Hydrometeorological Center noted that data for Simferopol was received through the World Meteorological Organization’s Global Telecommunication System.
