Recently, Ukraine has intensified drone strikes on Russian thermal power plants and substations that participate in the transit of electricity in the European part of the Russian Federation.

This was stated by military-political observer of the Information Resistance group, Oleksandr Kovalenko.

“In essence, drones are not just mindlessly striking at energy sector facilities in Russia, but are creating a state of emergency in terms of the flow of electricity between regions and into the capital itself,” he noted.

According to him, this may indicate that turning off the lights will soon become a forced and inevitable process.

Kovalenko emphasized that if Ukrainian drones continue to attack Russian energy facilities, a blackout threatens even Moscow, “around which a ring of cut-down substations and CHP plants is shrinking.”

“On the other hand, if there is no electricity, you can always turn on the generator, fill it with gasoline, and celebrate the New Year with the chimes of chimes and Putin’s speech about austerity and greatness, right? Although, where does Russia get gasoline from…” added the columnist.

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, November 6, drones attacked a thermal power plant in the city of Volgorechensk, Kostroma Region, Russia.

Previously, drones attacked energy facilities in Orel, Vladimir, and Yaroslavl , including a thermal power plant and substations that provide electricity to the regions.
