President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy traditionally addressed Ukrainians with New Year’s greetings on December 31, in the last minutes of 2025. This is the fourth New Year’s holiday that our country has celebrated in the context of a large-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation.

You can watch Zelensky’s congratulations on all Ukrainian TV channels broadcasting the telethon, as well as on Zelensky’s and the President’s Office’s social networks.

Meanwhile, on the evening of Wednesday, December 31, the head of state congratulated Ukrainians on the upcoming New Year. He wished citizens strength, unity, and encouragement.

“Another year passes, chosen by the dedication and resilience, the principledness and daily work of Ukrainians. This year was made possible thanks to our defenders – those who defended it not only for Ukraine, but also for all who value freedom and dignity.

“We move forward together with what holds us together: experience and memory, native language, hope and faith. We take with us the ability to collaborate and humanity – that which, despite everything,” the president emphasized.

“We believe in peace, we fight for it and we work for it. Happy New Year, dear Ukrainians!” Zelensky added.

Last year, Volodymyr Zelenskyy recorded a New Year’s address at the Motherland monument in Kyiv. In his speech, he expressed hope that 2025 would be “our year, the year of Ukraine,” and stressed that peace would not be given as a gift, but Ukraine would do everything possible to stop Russia and end the war.

The previous New Year’s greeting lasted 20 minutes and 43 seconds. Then the head of state also spoke about the attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, recalled his conversations with Biden and Trump, as well as the victories of Ukrainian athletes.

Let us remind you that this is the seventh time that the head of state has congratulated the Ukrainian people on the holiday. In 2020, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s address lasted 13 minutes and 20 seconds. The head of state congratulated the arrival of 2021 for 14 minutes and 50 seconds. The address before the new year 2022 took a little more than 21 minutes.

Before the arrival of 2023, the President of Ukraine recorded a New Year’s greeting in conditions of full-scale war. Then the video took 17 minutes. Zelensky’s greeting for 2024 lasted 20 minutes and 40 seconds

In total, the average duration of all of Zelensky’s New Year’s greetings recorded in office is almost 18 minutes.
