NGU combat divers destroyed a Russian Su-24M in occupied Crimea.

Combat divers from the Omega Special Purpose Center of the National Defense Ministry destroyed a Russian Su-24M frontline bomber at the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.

According to him, the aircraft was preparing for a combat sortie to carry out strikes on Ukrainian territory when it was attacked by attack drones. The first drone struck the Su-24M’s nose, and the second carried out a second strike near the fuel tanks, resulting in the complete destruction of the aircraft.

He noted that this operation confirms the growth of the National Guard’s capabilities in the use of strike unmanned systems at significant operational depth.

He also reported that units of the 1st Corps of the Azov National Guard and the 2nd Corps of the Charter National Guard continue to effectively carry out combat missions at a distance of more than 100 kilometers, striking logistics routes, ammunition depots, command posts, air defense systems, and areas where personnel and aircraft are concentrated.

According to the NGU commander, the destruction of aircraft, warehouses, and command posts reduces the combat capabilities of Russian troops, and the list of priority targets is constantly being updated.
