Nicaragua recognized the occupied territories of Ukraine as “an integral part of the Russian Federation”

Nicaraguan leader Daniel Ortega and co-president and his wife Rosario Murillo have expressed full support for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in waging war against Ukraine.

This was reported by the local publication El 19.

In their letter, the country’s leaders expressed support and solidarity with the Russian dictator, saying that Russians are “fighting a heroic battle against NATO-backed Ukrainian neo-Nazism.”

They expressed confidence in “Russia’s victory” and declared their support and recognition of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories by Russia.

“On behalf of the government and people of Nicaragua, we express our full support and recognition of the Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, and Zaporizhia regions as an integral part of the Russian Federation,” the letter from the Nicaraguan rulers reads.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has not yet responded to this statement.

Earlier , the Foreign Ministry of Mali, located in Africa, called Ukraine a “terrorist state” for “aiding” the rebels who destroyed members of the Wagner PMC .
