Russian Night Strike on Kyiv Kills 15, Dozens Injured in One of Deadliest Attacks on Capital

As of the evening of July 31, search and rescue operations continue in Kyiv following a Russian missile strike overnight. The attack has claimed the lives of 15 people, including one child, and left 145 injured, among them 14 children.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

At 7:15 p.m., rescuers reported recovering the body of a man from beneath the rubble, raising the death toll to 14 at that time, with 132 people injured. Earlier, as of 6:36 p.m., the official number of fatalities stood at 13, including one child. The toll continues to rise as debris is cleared.

Emergency response teams, police, and the State Emergency Service are working around the clock at the site. Heavy machinery and search dogs are being used in the rescue efforts. Psychologists are on hand to support residents of the affected buildings and families of the victims.

Search and debris removal operations will continue until they are fully completed.

It was previously reported that the death toll from the Russian combined attack on Kyiv has risen to 12. 135 people were injured.

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, July 31, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Kyiv, using missiles and drones. The strike resulted in significant destruction in several areas of the capital, with fatalities and dozens of injuries.

It later became known that in Kyiv, the rubble after the night shelling continues to be cleared. Rescuers found the body of a deceased person in the destroyed entrance of a high-rise building in the Svyatoshynskyi district.
