NMT in 2026: how many points are needed to enter budget universities

Ukraine has published the average NMT results with which applicants were admitted to budget places in higher education institutions in 2025. To enter leading universities in 2026, applicants will already need to aim for 160-170 points and above.

The highest average score among Ukrainian educational institutions was demonstrated by the University “Kyiv School of Economics” – 186.84 points . Among state universities, the leaders were the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” with an average of 173.65 points and the National University “Odessa Law Academy” – 170.04 points.
The list of institutions with the highest average scores of entrants also includes:
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv — 168.16 points;
- National University “Ostroh Academy” — 167.84;
- Lviv National Medical University — 167.16;
- Yaroslav the Wise National Law University — 165.16;
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv — 164.61;
- Kyiv University of Intellectual Property and Law — 164.45;
- Vinnytsia National Medical University — 163.82;
- Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law — 163.8;
- Bogomolets National Medical University — 163.52.
High results were also recorded at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” , where the average score was 160.19 , and at the Kyiv National Economic University – 161.1 points.
At the same time, in some regional pedagogical, agricultural and humanitarian institutions, the average score of applicants to the budget was lower – within 138-145 points . In particular, in Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University this indicator was 144.07 points , in Zaporizhia National University – 146.66 , and in Poltava State Agrarian University – 142.65 points.
It is noted that in some universities the competition for a budget place exceeded 30 people . At the same time, experts emphasize that the published indicators are not official passing scores for 2026, but demonstrate the level of competition during the previous admission campaign.
It is also reported that over 347,000 participants have already registered for NMT-2026, which is the largest figure since the start of the full-scale war.
It was previously reported that entrants can register for the national multimedia test (NMT) through the Diya application . To do this, you need to create a personal account on the website of the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment.
