Head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov, during his speech at the Kyiv Security Forum outlined Ukraine’s position on negotiations with Russia. He emphasized that Ukraine does not recognize any territorial claims of the Russian Federation and is not ready to concede its interests.

This is reported by “News.LIVE” .

Budanov emphasized that Ukraine’s position in the negotiations directly depends on the strength of the state and its ability to resist. According to him, this is what determines the ability to defend national interests.

“If we are strong, it will give us maneuver in this situation. Conversely, if we are weak, conditions will only dictate to us,” he said.

At the same time, he noted that the desire for peace is not a manifestation of weakness, but rather indicates a rational approach of the state.

Separately, the head of the OP outlined Ukraine’s principled “red lines” in negotiations with Russia, emphasizing the impossibility of recognizing any territorial losses.

“The red line is simple, I think it is clear to everyone. First, we will not recognize anything. This will not happen. No matter how hard anyone tries, it will not happen that easily. Don’t even dream. Regarding Donbas, I am sure that we will find a solution that will satisfy us first of all. Because this is our land. And no one here has the right to trade land. This will not happen,” Budanov noted.

He also noted that the details of the negotiation process cannot be made public before its completion, as this could affect the outcome.

Budanov stressed the importance of internal unity, emphasizing that without it, even significant military assistance will not yield results.

“We can throw a million tanks, drones, planes here. But if there is no unity, it simply will not work. This is the most important thing. And, unfortunately or fortunately, in these times we all have to unite, whether we like each other or not – in order to achieve the goal. And our goal is the survival of our state. And its future,” he added.

He concluded that Ukrainian society must consolidate around state power to achieve strategic goals.

As “Pryamiy” reported, the day before, Ukraine announced its readiness to hold a meeting at the highest level with Russia with the participation of international partners. This is a format of negotiations involving the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and, probably, the United States.

As a reminder, the Kremlin announced “positive” dynamics for Russian troops at the front and linked it to the further progress of negotiations regarding the war.

As reported, the head of the Presidential Office, Kirill Budanov, stated that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are gradually progressing and may lead to an agreement.

In addition, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has agreed with the United States to hold a trilateral meeting to end the war, but the format of the negotiations has not yet been determined.
