North Korea continues to supply Russia with weapons and prepare a new contingent of troops for dispatch to the Russian Federation. According to South Korea’s estimates, Pyongyang has already transferred more than 15 million artillery shells to Moscow.

This is reported by Reuters .

The South Korean Defense Ministry said that North Korea is continuing preparations for a new transfer of troops to Russia. At the same time, Seoul currently has no signs that the deployment of additional troops will begin in the near future.

In addition to military personnel, North Korea continues to transfer weapons to Russia. According to South Korea’s estimates, the number of artillery ammunition supplied has already exceeded 15 million. These are shells of a caliber equivalent to 152 mm.

Pyongyang also supplies Moscow with other weapons systems, including short-range ballistic missiles.

South Korean intelligence believes that military cooperation with Russia could have helped North Korea improve its own missiles. According to the assessment of South Korea’s Defense Intelligence Agency, the accuracy of North Korean missiles during combat use could have increased due to battlefield information, technical advice and components received from Russia.

At the same time, North Korea has come close to completing the development of some ballistic missiles and multiple launch rocket systems. South Korea suggests that some of these weapons could be intended for a potential conflict on the Korean Peninsula.

In particular, the Hwasong-12 medium-range ballistic missile, capable of reaching the US territory of Guam, is being prepared for operational deployment.

North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missiles can theoretically reach the mainland United States. However, a number of critical technologies, including reentry vehicle technology, have not yet been fully tested. Previous launches of such missiles have been conducted on an elevated trajectory.

By the way, North Korea has sent about 400 drone operators to the Kursk region of Russia . They are part of the North Korean contingent of about 8,500 military personnel and may be involved in reconnaissance and strikes on Ukrainian targets.

As a reminder, North Korea is relocating its missile unit to the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation , which could be used to strike Ukraine. It could be equipped with 120 ballistic missiles.
