North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a museum honoring North Korean servicemen who fought in Russia’s war against Ukraine on October 23 in Pyongyang.

This was reported by the state agency KCNA .

As journalists noted, the museum will be called the “Memorial Museum of Combat Deeds in a Foreign Military Operation.” The ceremony was attended by senior DPRK officials, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to North Korea, Alexander Matsegora, and employees of the Russian embassy.

During the event, Kim Jong-un, along with the leaders of party and state structures, took up a shovel, symbolically starting construction.

According to journalists, the North Korean leader also met with military personnel who participated in an overseas operation and were receiving treatment for injuries.

North Korean propaganda stated that the participation of the DPRK military in the fighting in the Kursk region of Russia “became an example of courage and a testament to the brotherhood between the two countries.” The report emphasized that these events allegedly “deepened the invincible ties between the DPRK and Russia and created the basis for their further prosperity.”

By the way, North Korea could have received technological support from Russia in creating a new intercontinental ballistic missile, the Hwasong-20.

As reported, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un personally visited the testing of new unmanned aerial vehicles at the Unmanned Aircraft Technology Association . Among the models demonstrated were heavy bomber drones that drop ammunition, as well as tactical strike drones of the Kumsong series.
