The Norwegian government has announced the allocation of about 7 billion Norwegian kroner ($696 million) to supply Ukraine with Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and modern radars.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced this on August 24.

“Together with Germany, we are ensuring the transfer of powerful air defense systems to Ukraine. Our countries are working closely together to help Ukrainians protect their state and civilians from Russian air attacks,” Stere emphasized.

Earlier, Germany agreed to provide Ukraine with two more Patriot air defense systems after reaching an agreement with the United States to replace the transferred equipment.

Let us recall that the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems that the US promised to transfer to Ukraine will not arrive in Germany before the spring of 2026 .
