Norway has joined the Ukraine Support Fund: how much will it allocate?

Norway will allocate 90 million euros to support reforms in Ukraine in the areas of combating corruption and energy. The funds will be channeled through the Ukraine Support Fund within the framework of the European mechanism Ukraine Facility.
This was stated by European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. According to her, the EU and Norway have a common approach to supporting Ukraine.
“The EU and Norway share the same approach to supporting Ukraine. We want to help Ukraine defend itself from Russian aggression today, while supporting reforms that will make Ukraine stronger and bring it closer to EU membership,” Kos said.
Norway will become the first non-EU country to contribute to the fund, following Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
The Norwegian government has clarified that the funds are to support not only anti-corruption and energy reforms, but also current expenditures of the Ukrainian state. Funding under the program provides for payments after Ukraine implements the agreed reforms.
As a reminder,Norway will transfer the previously announced $200 million package for the purchase of Patriot missiles.
As previously reported, Norway plans to provide Ukraine with 85 billion Norwegian kroner, or about $9.2 billion, in financial support in 2027. The funds will be used to address Ukraine’s military, humanitarian, and financial needs.
