Not just diesel: the US is preparing a new lifting of sanctions against Russia

The US is preparing further easing of sanctions against Russia, including on tankers and gas. Washington is also considering other sanctions exemptions and frozen assets.
RBC-Ukraine writes about this with reference to a knowledgeable source.
According to the source, the American side is demanding that Ukraine stop attacking Russian oil refineries, without offering Kyiv anything in return.
“They are preparing new lifting of sanctions on Russia: on tankers and gas, possibly on some companies and individuals, and are thinking about how to take control of frozen assets,” the publication’s source said.
He also claims that the US is not seeking to increase pressure on Moscow, but instead is trying to obtain concessions from Ukraine in negotiations to end the war.
Recall that Donald Trump previously blocked the application of sanctions against Russia under the Graham Act , using the right to an exception provided for in the document. Previously introduced American restrictions remained in force.
In addition, Zelensky warned of possible further easing of sanctions against Russia . The president suggested that the agreement on Russian diesel is only the first step by Washington.
