Not just intelligence: Russia helps Iran replenish its missile arsenals

Russia supplies Iran with missiles and helps it identify targets for strikes on US military bases in the region. Despite months of bombing, Iran has maintained missile and drone production, allowing it to replenish its arsenals during lulls in hostilities.

This is reported by Bloomberg .

According to journalists, Iran has managed to maintain production capacity for missiles and drones despite months of bombing as part of the war with the US and Israel. This allows Tehran to rebuild its weapons stockpiles during a period of reduced fighting.

A Western official said that Russia not only helped Iran identify targets for attacks on American military bases in the region, which were later damaged or destroyed, but also supplied it with missiles.

Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz remains tense due to disputes over control of the waterway. On the other side of the Arabian Peninsula, fighting is escalating between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen. This conflict could also affect the situation around the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Despite the gradual resumption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, global energy prices remain high. One reason for this may be the cost of transporting oil.

The cost of chartering a tanker to transport oil from the United States to China has reached about $80 million. That’s more than the cost of a standard commercial rocket launch into space, which is about $74 million. The reason for the increase is a global tanker shortage that continues to deepen.

Recall that US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered Central Command to complete preparations for the possible resumption of large-scale combat operations against Iran . President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on new strikes.
