Nova Poshta changes the principle of storing goods after strikes on warehouses: what you need to know

Nova Poshta is implementing a decentralized model for storing goods after the destruction of a robotic center and sorting depot in Sviatopetrivske, Kyiv region, on August 28. Customer goods will be distributed between different locations across the country to reduce dependence on one large center.

This was announced by the company’s CEO Yevhen Tafiychuk.

According to him, Nova Poshta’s freight and postal branches across the country will be used as local warehouses.

“To make goods storage more resilient to such threats, we are deploying a decentralized model,” Tafiychuk explained.

Previously, most of the storage operations were concentrated in the robotic center in Sviatopetrivske. The strike damaged the goods of many companies, and thousands of copies of books by Ukrainian and foreign authors were also destroyed.

Tafiychuk said that the company will compensate partners for the losses and will help them recover what was lost and print new editions.

The new model involves distributing goods across multiple locations, which should reduce the risk of losing a business’s entire inventory due to a single location being hit.

By the way, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the first hit in the village of Myla in the Kyiv region fell on a storage site for shells, mines, other ammunition, and drones of the Defense Forces , “which should not have been near people.”

Earlier, “Pryamiy” wrote that at least 27 people were killed as a result of an enemy attack on the Buchansky district of the Kyiv region. The elimination of the consequences of the attack is ongoing.
