Russia has intensified its campaign of forcibly recruiting workers from industrial enterprises in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region to the war.
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
According to available information, companies are planning to mobilize from 25% to 50% of their employees. As a result, companies are losing staff and production processes are being reduced or completely stopped.
Miners who have lost their jobs or have been laid off also receive summonses. Their lists are submitted to military registration and enlistment offices in advance.
The CPR notes that such a practice indicates a targeted policy of the Russian Federation, when socially vulnerable groups of the population become the main target of mobilization.
Despite Russian propaganda’s claims of “care” and “prosperity,” the occupation authorities do not provide people with work and decent living conditions, but use them as a resource to replenish the army.
It was previously reported that in the first three months of 2026, the Kremlin failed to recruit the planned number of contract soldiers into the ranks of the Russian army.
As a reminder, the Russian authorities have completed preparations for the mass conscription of residents of the occupied Ukrainian territories , having created a rigid system of military registration.
