Occupiers hit railway and gas station near the border with Poland: reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Russian forces attacked Volyn near the Yagodyn checkpoint on the border with Poland, damaging a gas station and a passenger train locomotive. Falling debris set the gas station and several trucks on fire, but no one was injured.

Volyn Customs spokeswoman Valentyna Chernysh reported that during the air alert, all operations at the border were stopped, and people were in shelters.

Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the impact on the locomotive of a passenger train occurred 2 km from the border with Poland. The monitoring group warned the train crew about the threat in advance, thanks to which no one was injured.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that the Russian attack near the Ukrainian-Polish border is a continuation of strikes on the state border of Ukraine.

“This is Putin’s terror, which is “knocking” directly on the doors of the EU and NATO. The Russian barbarians are already at your gates, dear partners,” Sibiga emphasized.

The Foreign Minister called on international partners to strengthen sanctions against Russia, including imposing a full trade embargo, an entry ban, and sanctions against the military-industrial complex.

Recall that on the afternoon of September 12, Russian troops attacked railway infrastructure in Lutsk, Fastiv, and Kovel with drones . In Lutsk, train cars caught fire as a result of the strike, but passengers and railway workers were evacuated in advance, and there were no injuries.
