Odessa plans to significantly increase water tariffs

In Odesa, tariffs for centralized water supply and sanitation may be reviewed. The relevant draft resolution was supported by the Odesa City Council Executive Committee and submitted to the Odesa City Military Administration for review.

The Odessa City Council reported this.

According to the proposed rates, the tariff for centralized water supply for the population and other consumers could be UAH 36,708 per cubic meter including VAT, and for wastewater disposal – UAH 28,836.

Thus, the total cost of Infoksvodokanal’s services may increase to UAH 65.54 per cubic meter including VAT.

The city council explains the need to revise tariffs by the significant increase in the cost of electricity, fuel and lubricants, and the minimum wage starting in 2021.

At the same time, the city council noted that state benefits and the population’s right to receive subsidies remain unchanged.

The final decision on the application of the proposed tariffs must be made by the Odessa City Military Administration.
