Oil depot in Feodosia burns for second day: new photos show scale of destruction
A large-scale fire continues at an oil depot in Feodosia in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The fire, which broke out on the night of October 6, has spread to other fuel tanks.
This was reported by the monitoring group “Crimean Wind”, referring to satellite images.
According to analysts, tanks were burning in the northwestern and eastern parts of the facility on October 6. Fresh satellite images indicate that today the flames have already engulfed tanks in the northern part of the oil depot.
The released image shows the scale of the destruction: some of the tanks marked in red were destroyed earlier, and new ignition sources are located closer to the center of the industrial site.
As is known, the oil depot in Feodosia is one of the key logistical facilities of the Russian military on the peninsula. The fire there has been going on for the second day, which may indicate that the facility has significant fuel reserves.
Earlier , a series of explosions were heard in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, at night . Drones attacked a local factory.
By the way, on the night of October 4 , drones attacked an oil refinery in the city of Kirishi , Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation.
The day before, on October 3, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation. The enterprise is 1,400 km from the Ukrainian border.
