Explosions were heard in several regions of Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula on the night of Thursday, June 11. There were reports of a drone attack on an oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, as well as a series of strikes on military and logistical facilities in Crimea.

According to Russian sources, drones attacked the Afipsky oil refinery after midnight. Local residents heard several explosions, and later thick smoke rose above the plant.

“Drone debris fell on the territory of the village, after which a fire broke out at the refinery,” the Krasnodar Territory operational headquarters said.

The Afipsky Refinery is considered one of the largest oil refineries in southern Russia. The plant produces gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, which can be used to supply Russian troops.

Meanwhile, explosions were also heard in occupied Crimea. According to local Telegram channels, the attack lasted several hours. Russian air defenses were operating in Sevastopol, and after a series of explosions, eyewitnesses reported a fire in the area of military facilities.

“After the flights arrived, thick smoke and a glow were visible over one of the city’s districts,” local residents reported on social media.

There were also reports of damage to two road bridges on the land approaches to Crimea. According to eyewitnesses, in one area, trucks caught fire after the explosions, and debris damaged nearby civilian infrastructure.

There were no official comments from the Russian military command on the consequences of the attacks at the time of publication.
At the same time, the night strikes once again demonstrated the vulnerability of important logistical and military facilities on the territory of Russia and the occupied peninsula.

Recall that the SBU’s “Alpha” special forces struck the “Vtorovo” and “Lobkovo” oil pumping stations in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation . The distance to the targets is about 700 km.

In addition, the Russian occupation army lost the ability to use the Mariupol seaport after a large-scale operation by Ukrainian forces.

As reported, on June 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the destruction by Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo drones of a military plant in Cheboksary , which supplies the Russian army with components for missiles and drones.
