Spill on the Move: Oil from Tuapse Threatens Gelendzhik

The oil slick after the spill in Tuapse continues to spread along the Black Sea coast and is approaching the Gelendzhik region.

This is stated in the satellite monitoring data of the “Transparent World” project.

According to analysts, the contamination has already reached Novomykhailivske and later spread to the Dzhubga and Arkhipo-Osypovka districts.

Satellite images show the oil slick’s expansion after the incident on April 23.

From Arkhipo-Osipovka to the Cape Idokopas area, where Putin’s palace is located, is about 20 kilometers. Thus, the pollution continues to move in this direction.

Experts note that the scale of the oil spill is increasing, and the situation on the coast remains dynamic.

It was previously reported that after two strikes on Tuapse, the city recorded so-called “oil rain”, and a large oil slick formed in the Black Sea.

As a reminder, on the night of April 20, drones attacked the city of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia, hitting a seaport and an oil refinery. The attack resulted in a large-scale fire, killing 1 person and injuring 1 more.
