Oleg Goncharuk has been appointed head of the South Forces Group: what is known about the personnel rotation?

Brigadier General Oleh Goncharuk has become the new commander of the “South” group of forces. He replaces Maksym Sidorenko.

The press secretary of the South group of forces, Maksym Kravchuk, reported this in a commentary to Ukrainska Pravda.

According to him, a planned rotation of the commander of the South Group of Forces took place. This position is temporary, and appointments are made on a rotating basis.

At the same time, Goncharuk’s regular position remains Chief of Staff of the Operational Command “South”.

Following personnel changes, Maksim Sidorenko will continue to serve as commander of the South Operational Command.
