During the Easter holidays, particularly on April 12, law enforcement officers may conduct random, superficial checks of citizens to ensure safety.

This was reported by the representative of the National Police of Ukraine , Yulia Girdvilis, as reported by Ukrinform.

According to her, police will traditionally be on high alert during the holidays. They will focus on areas where large numbers of people gather, such as near churches, streets, and highways.

“Our key task is to ensure law and order and the safety of citizens,” Girdvilis emphasized.

She clarified that, if necessary, law enforcement officers may conduct preventive measures, including random, superficial inspections. Such actions will be carried out solely to prevent provocations and ensure safety.

The police also reminded that, despite the holidays, the threat of martial law remains in Ukraine. Citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens, to comply with restrictions, and to cooperate with law enforcement in carrying out their duties.

Let us remember that Easter is one of the largest religious holidays, during which mass religious services are traditionally held.
