On the front 154 clashes: where the enemy attacked most actively

Over the past 24 hours, 154 combat clashes have been recorded on the front. Russian troops launched massive missile, air, and artillery strikes, actively used kamikaze drones, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled dozens of attacks in key areas.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on January 22.

Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile and 84 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using two missiles and dropping 197 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 6,183 kamikaze drones were used to strike and 3,552 attacks were carried out on the positions of our troops and settlements, including 21 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Velykymykhaylivka, Kolomyiatsia in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Ternuvaty, Verkhnia Tersa, Zaliznychne, Vozdvizhivka, Yuliivka, Rozumivka, Hulyaipole, Hulyaipilske in the Zaporizhia region; Sadovoe in the Kherson region.

Aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment, an air defense system, and one enemy command post.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out 72 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, our troops stopped seven enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Dvorichanske and towards Izbitsky, Grafsky, Kruhly, and Kutkivka.

Yesterday, eight attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions towards the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Kurylivka, and Boguslavka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked seven times, trying to penetrate our defenses in the areas of the settlements of Novomykhaylivka, Drobysheve, Yampil and towards Dibrova, Lyman, and Novosergiivka.

In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near the settlement of Dronivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian units repelled an enemy attack in the Stupochok area.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out ten attacks in the areas of the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Sofiivka and towards Kostyantynivka and Ivano-Frankivsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 38 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and towards Bilytsky, Ivanivka, Sergiyevka and Novopidhorodne.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks yesterday, in the areas of the settlements of Zlagoda, Yehorivka, and towards Sosnivka and Novy Zaporizhzhia.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces repelled 36 Russian attacks in the areas of Hulyaipil, Solodke and towards Dobropil, Zelenye, Pryluky, Varvarivka, and Svyatopetrivka.

No clashes were recorded in the Orikhiv direction.

In the Dnieper direction, the enemy twice unsuccessfully tried to improve its position.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
