On the night of May 24, Russia likely launched two RS-26 Rubizh (“Oreshnik”) medium-range ballistic missiles during a massive attack on Ukraine. Preliminary reports suggest that one of the missiles may have landed in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast.
This is reported by “eRadar” .
Experts from the monitoring platform stated that during the massive Russian missile strike on the night of May 24, a number of monitoring channels reported the launch of the Oreshnik at around 01:00. At the same time, there were no reports of hits after the first launch.
A few minutes later, information appeared about the rocket being relaunched.
“eRadar” noted that after analyzing the data, they concluded that the first launch probably took place.
“We questioned the first launch, which apparently still took place. The second “Oreshnik” hit the territory temporarily controlled by Russia in the area of Avdiivka or Yasynuvata, which is in the suburbs of Donetsk. It is possible that they hit their own troops in this territory,” the monitors noted.
According to the platform, another strike was carried out on Bila Tserkva. It was this hit that was officially reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
“eRadar” also suggested that the location of the second missile’s probable fall could be determined by experts from the “CyberBoroshno” community.
“We think the guys from CyberBoroshno will be able to accurately geolocate the location of the second missile impact,” eRadar reported.
As is known, three garages were damaged as a result of a Russian strike with an Oreshnik missile on Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region.
