One of the largest and most strategically important: drones attacked an oil terminal in the Krasnodar Territory

On the night of March 2, drones attacked the city of Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai, likely starting a fire at an oil terminal.

This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel ASTRA.

As noted, many explosions were heard in Novorossiysk at night. According to local authorities, one person was injured.

The Sheskharis marine oil terminal was also likely attacked by drones. It is used to receive, store, and ship oil and petroleum products to tankers.

“This is one of the largest and most strategically important oil terminals in Russia. It plays a key role in the operation of the Novorossiysk seaport and the entire export infrastructure of the south of the country,” the report says.

According to local media, a drone attack caused a fire at the terminal’s bulk dock. The fire has now been contained to an area of 120 square meters.

25 people and 9 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

As a reminder, the Defense Forces have already attacked the Sheskharis terminal . In November 2025, a large-scale fire broke out there.
