In Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco’s Ras Tanura oil refinery has suspended operations after an attack. According to preliminary data, the strike on the facility was carried out by a drone.

Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil and gas company Saudi Aramco has suspended operations at its Ras Tanura plant, which journalists say was hit by a drone strike.
Media reports citing correspondents indicate that a Shahed-136 drone may have been used in the attack. Local authorities reported that the fire was contained and the situation was under control.

A video of an alleged fire at the complex has been shared on social media. The footage shows thick smoke rising above the facility after an explosion, but the authenticity of the video has not been confirmed.

There is currently no official information from the Saudi Arabian authorities regarding the scale of the consequences of the attack.
By the way, on Monday, March 2, global oil prices rose sharply amid the escalation of the conflict over Iran and risks to supplies through the Strait of Hormuz. The cost of the benchmark Brent grade reached its highest level since January 2025, showing the largest increase in 4 years.
Earlier it was reported that Iran had blocked the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf , a key route for oil supplies from the Middle East. The movement of oil tankers in the strait has been effectively halted, and ships have reduced their speed to zero.
