One of the largest waterfalls in Ukraine froze completely due to severe frost.

The Manyava Waterfall in the village of Manyava in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, which reaches a height of about 18 meters, has completely frozen over.

A video of this unique winter spectacle was recently published on an Instagram page that organizes tourist excursions to this location.

Forecasters note that on January 11, in the Carpathian highlands, the temperature dropped to -13 to -18°C at night, and from -9 to -14°C during the day. It was these temperatures that caused the waterfall to freeze.

Manyava Waterfall is one of the highest in Ukraine. It is located in the Ukrainian Carpathians near the village of Manyava in the Bohorodchany district of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. Nearby is a famous architectural monument, the 17th-century Manyava Skete, and nearby is a healing spring. Above the Skete, the water cascades down the Manyavka River, forming a picturesque mountain waterfall that turns into a wall of ice in winter.
