One of the most dangerous aircraft missiles: what weapons are Ukraine and Sweden discussing supplying?

The defense ministers of Ukraine and Sweden discussed the possible transfer of Meteor aircraft missiles, as well as the supply of Gripen fighter jets – weapons carriers.

As noted, the Meteor is a long-range air-to-air missile. This weapon can hit targets at a distance of more than 200 kilometers.

“It is considered one of the most dangerous aircraft missiles in the world,” the video states.

Compared to conventional cruise missiles, the Meteor has a much larger “no-evasion zone,” which significantly increases the chances of destroying an enemy target.

Earlier, the defense ministers of Ukraine and Sweden discussed the formation of one of the largest security assistance packages , which includes strengthening air defense, electronic warfare, and the development of defense capabilities.

By the way, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga thanked Sweden for its decision to provide Ukraine with direct budget support. This is funding in the amount of $200 million, planned for 2026 .

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the first Swedish Gripen fighters will arrive in Ukraine in 2026. This decision will significantly strengthen combat aviation and guarantees of the state’s security.
