One of the most massive strikes: Air Defense Forces neutralized over 540 Russian drones during a daytime attack

This afternoon, Russia carried out one of the largest air attacks on Ukraine, striking with over 550 drones.

This was reported by the Air Force.

From 9:00 to 18:00, 556 attack drones entered Ukrainian airspace. A large number of UAVs flew in from the North – Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

The Poltava, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia regions, as well as the western regions — from Khmelnytskyi to Lviv — were hit by the Russian Federation. Hits were recorded in 15 locations.

As of 6:00 p.m., the sky defenders had managed to neutralize 541 enemy UAVs. Manned aircraft, anti-aircraft drones, electronic warfare, and ground-based air defense were involved in repelling the attack.

“Combat work continues! The defenders of Ukrainian skies are doing everything possible to repel enemy air attacks as effectively as possible,” the Air Force emphasized.

It is worth noting that, including night strikes, Russia has sent more than a thousand drones into Ukraine since the evening of March 23.

Earlier, an Air Force spokesman said that the drones moved in “columns,” and the geography of strikes during the day was wider than at night.

As a reminder, on the afternoon of March 24, Russian occupation forces attacked Lviv with the help of strike drones , resulting in damage to people and a UNESCO site.

By the way, as a result of a hostile attack by Shahed kamikaze drones in the center of Ivano-Frankivsk , two people were killed and four more were injured .
