“One of Ukraine’s best war correspondents,” Poroshenko responded to the bombing of Kalinovskaya’s car near Pokrovsk.
Ukraine’s fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, responded to the incident near Pokrovsk, where a car carrying Channel 5 war correspondent Olya Kalinovskaya and soldiers hit an enemy mine.
According to him, all his colleagues and Channel 5 viewers know Olya Kalinovskaya well, who is one of Ukraine’s best war correspondents and has been constantly at “zero” since the start of the full-scale war.
Poroshenko noted that for Russians, it makes no difference who is in the car: a journalist, a medic, a soldier being evacuated, or a civilian – they shoot at everyone.
“Olya, Sergey, I know how often you go to zero. I know how much you do so that the world sees the true face of the ‘Russian world.’ And I know how important this work is for Ukraine. You are true heroes,” the fifth president emphasized.
