Online-controlled reactive “Shaheds”: “Flash” warned of a new threat

“Shahed” type kamikaze drones, equipped with an online control system, pose an increased threat to a number of regions of Ukraine. They are capable of striking not only stationary but also moving targets within a designated area.
This was announced by the Advisor to the President of Ukraine on the Development of Technological Areas of Defense, Serhiy Beskrestnov (“Flash”).
According to him, currently such drones have a limited online control range, which is due to the specifics of the technology used. At the same time, within the range of their operation, they pose a serious threat.
Beskrestnov published a map showing in red the areas of potential use of online-controlled Shahed missiles.
“The red zone is a risk zone,” he emphasized.
The presidential advisor called on owners of warehouses, gas stations, industrial enterprises, and other critical and civil infrastructure facilities to take into account new risks, respond to air raid alarms in a timely manner, and provide personnel with shelters.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Serhiy Beskrestnov (“Flash”) as his non-staff advisor on the development of defense technological areas . He is responsible for the implementation of modern defense technologies.
