Online payments: “Diya” now has the opportunity to apply for basic social assistance

Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Digital Development, Education, Science and Technology Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of a new service “Basic Social Assistance” in the “Diya” application. It will allow Ukrainians to receive several types of social payments through a single request without visiting government institutions.

He wrote about this in Telegram .

According to Fedorov, the service has no analogues in the world and was created to simplify the interaction of citizens with the state as much as possible.

Now there is no need to visit institutions, collect numerous documents, or fill out paper applications. Everything can be done with a few clicks in “Actions” and wait for a notification about the allocation of assistance.

Currently, the following will be able to receive payments:

• low-income families;
• single mothers with children;
• families where children are left without alimony due to the unknown whereabouts of their parents or their refusal to pay.

The amount of payments will be determined individually for each family. In the future, the list of categories will be expanded so that all families who meet the program’s criteria can apply for assistance through “Diya”.

“We are building a convenient digital state for every Ukrainian,” Fedorov emphasized.

It is worth adding that the service was implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine with the support of the “Action Support Project”, which the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine implements with funding from Sweden.

By the way, a new function has appeared in “Diya” – now the state application will receive notifications related to treatment.

Earlier, Fedorov announced the launch of six new services in the application and on the “Diya” portal . Among them are the world’s first national AI assistant, online notary, electronic excise, new services for the military, social assistance, and documents with an apostille.
