Only 19% of Ukrainians believe Zelenskyy is not involved in the “Mindich scheme.”
Володимир Зеленський
Only 19% of Ukrainians surveyed believe that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was unaware of corruption in his circle and was not involved in the “Mindich scheme.”
This is stated in a sociological survey by Socis , conducted from December 12 to 18.
39 percent of respondents believe that the president is part of a corruption scheme exposed by NABU, 29% believe that the president knew about corruption in his circle but was not directly involved, and 19% believe that the president has nothing to do with the corrupt deals and knew nothing about it.
Furthermore, 30% of respondents believe the head of state should bear full responsibility for corruption within his circle, while another 28% believe that responsibility should be solely political and that he should not run for another term. And 30% are convinced that no evidence of his involvement has been established and that he is free to run again.
Sociologists note that the study sample is close to representative for the entire country in terms of age, gender, settlement type, and regional distribution. The number and population structure of internally displaced persons and citizens who have emigrated abroad were taken into account as closely as possible.
The survey was not conducted in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Luhansk region, the temporarily occupied territories, and areas where active military operations are taking place (a significant part of the Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions).
In the study, 2,000 respondents were interviewed using a quota stratified sample using face-to-face interviewing using tablet computers (CAPI).
Statistical sampling error (confidence interval): +/- 2.6%.
It is stated that the study was conducted by Socis and is part of the ongoing public opinion monitoring Barometer, which the company has been conducting regularly for the past 10 years.
As a reminder, the NABU and SAP are conducting a large-scale operation, “Operation Midas,” to expose corruption in the energy sector . According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization that controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures have been established.
Journalists from “Schemes” have identified the names of individuals who were notified of suspicion by NABU detectives as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector. Timur Mindich is among those involved.
Earlier, Zelenskyy imposed National Security and Defense Council sanctions against Kvartal-95 co-owner Timur Mindich and businessman Alexander Tsukerman , who are linked to a corruption case in the energy sector.
As noted, the State Border Service conducted an internal investigation and found that businessman Timur Mindich left Ukraine legally .
Incidentally, a puzzling situation has arisen regarding the case of businessmen Timur Mindich and Alexander Tsukerman’s departure abroad: the State Tax Service of Ukraine (GNU) refused to participate in the meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission , which was supposed to investigate the incident.
