OpenAI has amended its ChatGPT policy to prohibit its use for medical, legal, and other consulting services that require a special license. The updated policy also limits the use of AI in areas where critical intervention is possible without human intervention.
This was reported by the OpenAI press service.
According to the new rules, ChatGPT cannot be used for consultations that require professional certification, including medical or legal ones. It also prohibits the recognition of individuals without their consent, making decisions on financial, educational or employment matters without human control, and academic fraud.
The company explained that such changes are aimed at increasing user safety and preventing potential harm from the misuse of artificial intelligence.
OpenAI previously reported improvements to ChatGPT’s features to work with topics that require increased sensitivity — such as stress, ethical dilemmas, or psychological support.
“We strive to make ChatGPT a useful, safe, and responsible tool for all users,” OpenAI noted.
As previously reported, more and more Americans are using ChatGPT instead of lawyers to participate in legal proceedings — and some of them are already winning. Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a “legal advisor” for citizens who cannot afford a lawyer or who seek to defend themselves in court.
By the way, adult ChatGPT users who confirm their age will be able to access a new version of the chatbot with artificial intelligence , where the level of censorship will be significantly reduced. It provides the possibility of interacting with erotic content and even exchanging intimate messages.
