Operation Themis: searches conducted at the homes of two Supreme Court judges

As part of Operation Themis, searches were allegedly conducted on August 19 at the homes of two Supreme Court judges. These are the heads of the Cassation Administrative Court and the Cassation Economic Court.

This was reported by the DEJURE Foundation, citing its own sources.

According to the organization, the searches could have involved the head of the Cassation Administrative Court of the Supreme Court, Ihor Dashutin, and the head of the Cassation Economic Court, Larysa Rogach.

DEJURE reminded that on the eve of the NABU and SAPO published materials on the investigation of the activities of a criminal organization. According to the investigation, its members illegally seized enterprises and real estate worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias.

Law enforcement officers also claimed to have bribed judges to obtain necessary court decisions.

At the same time, there is currently no official confirmation that the searches were conducted specifically at Dashutin’s and Rogach’s homes. There has also been no information about the procedural status of the judges in this case.

The DEJURE Foundation stated that they will monitor the development of the investigation and report on new details.

As reported, Olesya Radyshevska, the chairwoman of the Supreme Court’s panel of judges in the Administrative Court of Cassation, believes that the sanctions against Poroshenko are illegal and should be lifted . She presented her arguments in a separate opinion to the court’s decision, which rejected the fifth President’s lawsuit by three votes.

In addition, the lawyer for the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, Ilya Novikov, stated that the Security Service of Ukraine exerted pressure on the judges of the Supreme Court during the consideration of the case regarding the appeal of sanctions against his client.
