The leader of Hungary’s Tisza Party, Péter Magyar, stated that individuals close to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán have begun massively transferring funds abroad and selling off assets.

He published a corresponding appeal on Facebook.

According to the politician, government-connected businessmen are already transferring significant sums—tens of billions of forints—to the UAE, the US, Uruguay, and other countries. Meanwhile, some major financial transactions, potentially linked to the circle of Prime Minister Antal Rogán’s chief of staff, have allegedly been suspended by the tax authorities due to suspicions of money laundering.

Madyar called on law enforcement to respond promptly: freeze the suspects’ assets, hold them accountable, and prevent them from traveling to countries without extradition agreements.

Moreover, according to him, representatives of the so-called “Orbán circle” are already selling key assets at reduced prices. These include the TV2 television channel, other media outlets, and the company Lounge Event Kft, which he described as an important part of the propaganda infrastructure.

The politician also claims that some influential families have already left Hungary, while others are preparing to leave. In particular, the family of businessman Lorinc Meszaros may soon depart for Dubai. Some families, he says, have already withdrawn their children from school and are planning to travel abroad.

As a reminder, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán commented on the defeat of his Fidesz party in the April 12 parliamentary elections. He acknowledged the massive failure and took full responsibility for the outcome. In an interview, Orbán stated that the election result came as a surprise to him , as he had been confident of victory before the vote.

Meanwhile, Péter Magyar, winner of the Hungarian parliamentary elections, announced the date for his inauguration as prime minister. According to him, the official swearing-in ceremony will take place on May 9. On the same day, Magyar’s team will hold a public event in central Budapest.
