Hungarian opposition figure Peter Magyar said that the government’s public survey, which also covered Ukraine, was a “complete failure.”

He wrote about this on social media.

According to him, in different parts of the country, 3-7% of the ballots sent out were returned, which means that a maximum of 500 thousand people voted “on paper”. At the same time, the votes recorded in the online format were a small share compared to the paper ones.

In general, as the politician assured, the total number of voting participants is at most 600 thousand people.

“This is the lowest figure in the entire “glorious” history of the National Consultations. And they “managed” to achieve this in just a few months, through total mobilization and burning of tens of billions of public funds. A complete failure,” the report says.

In addition, he emphasized that the government spent money from the state budget on “provocative advertising and posters.”

“It’s simple. Because the failed, corrupt government is not interested in the real problems of the people and does not dare to look people in the eye. They just correspond with them,” he added.

As a reminder, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that his government will conduct a survey among the country’s population regarding their support for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union .

As previously reported, in Hungary, the government of Viktor Orban is calling on citizens to speak out against Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
