Ordinary machine gun – unusual cartridges: anti-drone bullets created in Ukraine

The Ukrainian military will be supplied with anti-drone ammunition, which significantly increases the chances of hitting a moving target.

This was stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

“The Brave1 defense cluster initiated the development of anti-drone cartridges that significantly increase the military’s chances of hitting a moving target. At first glance, these are ordinary cartridges of the most common caliber that can be equipped with a machine gun,” the minister noted.

Thanks to the use of a special warhead, anti-drone rounds help significantly increase the chances of hitting an enemy drone before it has time to attack.

It is noted that anti-drone cartridges are already codified according to NATO standards. Now the developer’s goal is for every infantryman to have a magazine of such cartridges and be able to equip their machine gun with them in the event of an air threat.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian group “Wild Hornets” has developed an interceptor drone capable of flying at an altitude of 11 kilometers .
