On Thursday, January 15, at the request of Ukraine, a meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will be held.
This was announced by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
He said the meeting would discuss Russian strikes and disregard for the United States-led peace efforts.
The timing of the extraordinary debates was not chosen by chance: they will coincide with the inaugural meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in 2026 and the presentation of the priorities of the Swiss chairmanship.
Sibiga also emphasized the impossibility of stopping pressure on the Russian Federation as long as the Kremlin is determined to continue its aggression against Ukraine.
“I call on all OSCE participating States to recognize the threat and scale of the challenge that the largest and longest war in Europe since World War II poses to the very concepts of sovereignty, territorial integrity, freedom, and human life,” the minister noted.
As a reminder, on the night of January 9, Kyiv was subjected to a massive combined attack by enemy UAVs , which damaged residential buildings and infrastructure in several areas of the city.
As is known, after the massive Russian shelling of Kyiv, about 500 residential buildings still remain without heat supply .
