Our People Are Home: The Next Stage of Prisoner of War Exchange Has Taken Place

Another group of prisoners of war has returned to Ukraine, following the agreements reached in Istanbul.

President Zelensky announced this.
“Today, our soldiers, National Guard members, and border guards are back home. All of them require medical treatment and will receive the necessary care. This is already the second stage of returning seriously wounded and critically ill servicemen,” he said.

Let us recall that on June 2 in Turkey, Ukraine and Russia agreed on a new exchange of prisoners of war in the format of “all for all” – seriously wounded and seriously ill prisoners of war, young soldiers aged 18 to 25.

As Kyrylo Budanov assured, Ukraine faced information pressure from the Russian side and attempted to single-handedly dictate the parameters of the exchange process.
