On the night of March 2, the Russian occupation army attacked Ukrainian energy facilities in several regions.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
As a result of attacks on energy infrastructure, consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Sumy regions were left without electricity.
Currently, specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling as quickly as possible and restore power to subscribers.
Separately, the agency noted that in a number of regions, hourly outage schedules are in effect for residential consumers, and capacity limitation schedules are in effect for industrial consumers.
“Current schedules are posted on the official resources of regional distribution system operators. Find out about changes in energy supply on the pages of the regional energy authority of your region,” the message says.
The Ministry of Energy has urged the population to use electricity sparingly in regions where power outages have been imposed.
“Especially during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening. This helps reduce the load on the system,” the department explained.
Recall that the need for restoration and modernization of the energy sector for the next ten years is $90.6 billion . Compared to the previous estimate, this amount has increased by 34%.
As is known, Latvia will transfer a full-fledged thermal power plant to Ukraine as part of a new aid package to support energy infrastructure amid Russian strikes.
